Which Cms Is Batter : Contribute Or Open Source?
I am planning to publish a portal. I am not trained in server scripting, but I know basics of HTML/CSS/XML.

Which cms gives full freedom in customizing every part of presentation with the help of web authoring software like dreamweaver. or include flash presentations

What Do I Need To Know As A Web Designer?

What Are The Best Content Management Systems For An Online Newspaper?
The online newspaper is going to be a high school newspaper. I’m looking for something that is efficient and easy to use (and still affordable). Something that has ease in accompanying videos would be great. If people who do not have experience with HTML/PHP would be able simply update the site with news articles, that would be great, too. I’ve researched software a bit and found Drupal or Joomla to be the most popular, but I’ve also heard of a program called PHPCow ($100), which claims to not require advanced skills such as coding. I don’t know much about the differences between Drupal and Joomla, however.
Linux: Which Packages Are Needed To Install Ndiswrapper?
I checked sourceforge (http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/jooml… and it says all that’s needed is the kernel header package. My kernel source directory (I think /usr/src/) is empty, so the pointer in the lib/modules/2.6…/build/ directory the that leads to this directory, that the ndiswrapper compilation references, isn’t doing anything.
I’m hoping someone can just verify that all you need is the header package for this program to compile, or whether you need some other kernel source or dev package, or anything else, before I download, burn and reboot.
Thanks
(error: “Can’t find kernel build files in lib/modules/2.6…fc7/build ;”)
What Would Be A Good Choice On Website Creating Software/programs?
I am planning on creating a website. I want it to look professional, but I don’t want it to burn too big of a hole in my wallet. So far I’ve found a few different kinds. They are:
-Joomla 1.5
-Laulyn Toweb
-NVU
-Adobe Dreamweaver
-Multimedia Australia
-Soholaunch
-Drupal 6
I understand not all of these are free, online, or expensive. But are there any that really go the extra mile or stand out? Feel free to suggest a program that isn’t in the above list.
Learn Form Scratch Website Programing ?
Ok I have all the tools but no knowledge. I have created a Website design in Photoshop CS3 and I don’t know how to build it in the CSS, Xhtml, PHP, Javascript. This is what I am looking for.
Ok my site is about download music. Ok I put the music on the server and make downloadable for the user when they pay for it otherwise they can listen to it for free, the question is how it’s done.
I have already created the design in the Photoshop CS3. I am trying to see which part of it I need to slice because I have lots of graphics. Like User login has graphics form has graphics also the nav has graphics and some flash content. After slicing the layout how do I put that in the CSS, XHTML that will meet the web standards? And make it search in friendly and SEO.
So far this is what I want. But I don’t know how to program it in PHP, XHTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT. I know flash only and Photoshop CS3. Also I want to learn this on my own I don’t want to pay any company to do this all. Is there any way someone can show me how it’s all done. I will pay them.
I want the website to be fast.

I Cant Decide, What Kind Of Script Should I Use For My Domain?
My original idea was to create a website about gambling smart and knowing how to “beat the casino” I bought a domain “playkeen.com” and was going to use joomla as my script.
After giving it some thought it sounded like a waste of time to me. I decided to look for something else for the site and noticed like video game scripts, community scripts, cms, etc etc. There is so much out there I cant decide
What would be the best script/program to use for my domain name playkeen.com. It dosent matter if I have to pay for it or not I just want to build a website now that has the slighest opportunity to make a profit
What Project And Task Management System Programs Are Out There That Can Be Loaded On A Webserver?
I currently have tried a Task Management System via a Joomla System, which worked ok. I noticed there are companies out there that can provide a system via their own server and you pay a monthly fee. I was wondering if there is programs that can be bought that install on each users(managers) computer and can connect to a central web server. This would allow all tasks, accounts, projects, contacts, etc to be updated to everyones program via the web server. This would all be used for Small Business. Does this exist? Thanks for any information.
Looking For A Good, Lightweight Cms For A Website?
I am looking for a *fairly* basic CMS to use for my website. I am fluent in HTML and CSS, but only a beginner at server-side programming languages. Therefore, I’m not looking for anything overly complicated.
My requirements are:
*Must be easy to create a template for – (I have a lot of HTML / CSS designs that I would just like to make a couple of edits too to make compatible)
*Must be free or open-source
*Must have a built-in upload function (mostly for article images)
*Must have the ability to update top and side navigation bars easily.
Of course, CMS solutions like Joomla! and Drupal can do all of this, but they are too bloated for what I need, and my client is not tech-savvy at all. I need something *fairly* easy to set up, and very easy for the end-user. Any suggestions would be looked into, and appreciated!
