Is There Potenial For A “hub” Website With All The Best Freeware Plus Links And Tutorials?

Author: i get kind of frustrated looking for tutorials/video help/good forums centered around freeware-think gimp or joomla.
im thinking about making a website with all the best freeware.
It would include descriptions and details,comprehensive video tutorials for each program, links to publishers sites, links to forums, screenshots of freeware interfaces, a rating system, and other stuff
Do you think that people would benfit from a site like this?
Also is there another site out there like this that i dont know about-please tell me if there is

I’m sure there must be some geeks out there who would benefit from such a site but I guess it would not be exactly mainstream!
Also, unless you are thinking of doing this for free, how would you get paid?
