Which Cms Is Batter : Contribute Or Open Source?

Author: I am planning to publish a portal. I am not trained in server scripting, but I know basics of HTML/CSS/XML.
I am looking forward to use a CMS for the job, I don’t have a lots of bucks to buy an expensive cms. But I can get pirated adobe contribute or open source like drupal, joomla, jaws etc.
can I use pirated contribute for whatever job I like, or do adobe has some genuineness verification program like xp and vista of Microsoft? which wont let the pirated s/w to work or hinder its features.
Which cms gives full freedom in customizing every part of presentation with the help of web authoring software like dreamweaver. or include flash presentations

Contribute isn’t a CMS and you cannot build a portal with it. Adobe does have verification checking so using a pirated copy is likely to get you into trouble.
Jaws is not a CMS either – its a screen reader.
You can use a free, open source CMS such as Drupal, Joomla, or Mambo but you may find it easier to work with WordPress. WordPress gives greater customisation options and its easier to use with flash presentations.
