Hi,
I’m making an e-commerce site. I want to learn how to build my own shopping cart software. I am knowledgable in programming C++ and Java applications, but have never done anything like this. I am learning PHP and want to make my shopping cart compatible with Joomla. I am aware that there are many free solutions available, but my needs are very specific, and virtuemart, zencart and cubecart do not suffice.
Are there any books or online tutorials that you can recommend?

1. Roughly how much do they cost?
2. Do they teach you how to update it?
3. Roughly how long does it take to build a like 30 page website?
4. (besides taking classes) Is there someone that can teach you how to use a program to make a website???
5. Is joomla a good program to use because its really complicated to me.
6. Is there any good web design template that is easy to update, easy to use, works with godaddy, and easy to upload???
PS: you don’t have to answer all of these.

What is the best web building program without knowing the code?
I’ve tried Web Easy Professional, WYCIWYG 5.0, Web Studio 4.0, joomla and some other, but they all are missing some features, like drop-down menu or you cannot stratch the page depending on the screen size and some others.
