I am a freelance journalist planning to start a web magazine. For this i need to learn web programming, but i have no idea about how to start ? I mean I dont know anything about basics of programming for the WEB. Even things like web server, FTP or any other terms are not known to me .
I basically want to focus on learning JOOMLA CMS for making my site because we want to use Ijoomla magazine component for it .
Please suggest how should a novice like me start learning the terms and tricks of web design ….
I would also appreciate if someone can tell me where in central india, I can find tutors for this…

I want to learn a new web programming language but i dunno which to choose. I dont wanna learn one and by the time im finished its outdated
I want to learn one thats not gonna go anywhere for ten years or one that is new but is turning heads and will be the next big thing 2 years down the road. Just like what google maps did for ajax.
currently im leaning towards php as it so beautifully written and many huge companies use it (wordpress, joomla etc)
whats the best language to choose?

Iam a btech (it) final year student .after my course iam planning to concentrate ina a particular programming language and to do a certification course in it.Please help me which programming language should i choose.I have Adavnced PHP(PHP ,AJAX ,MYSQL JOOMLA,LINUX ) course ,java ,asp in my mind .please tell me which one i should choose .which one has more oppurtunties and salary in the market.

Even though Joomla isn’t a object oriented programming language, it is based on object orientation. You can enable parts, disable parts, have add-on, etc.
