I have a ton of pictures that I want to make available online using some sort of photo album tech. The problem is I dont have time to upload individually all 989 pictures! I currently have 400+ of the pictures in a folder on my FTP server. Also a free program or code would be nice. I am big into mambo and joomla. Currently have coppermine Photo gallery. I am thinking there has to be some sort of program out there that will let me point right to this folder containing the pics I already have uploaded.

So I am a web designer, I design web sites in Photoshop and then I create HTML code. I am great with static web sites but I am not very good at web programming (PHP) and I would like to learn it but really cannot find much time for it lately. So my question is is there a way for me to create my own design in Photoshop/Dreamweaver and then use my own design with CMS solutions like Wordpress, Joomla etc… The point is I want to create database websites and update them trough CMS but have my own design used and not those templates that you can find on web for Joomla for example. So is this possible and which CMS solution do you recommend: Joomla, Wordpress or some other? Thanks

I have a custom table in Joomla that I know how to enter data in. My problem is I have no idea how to list all records in the applicable table!
I’ve tried tutorials but something always goes wrong when trying to display data!

What i want to be able to do is have the bubble shape put in (with or without the photo) then be able to enter text over it (the text must be able to be indexed by Google so not just in the gif/ jpeg image)

I’m a tech, not a programmer! Discovering that I’m a pretty useless programmer actually! However, I’m toying with PHP/MySQL and can’t understand why I cant get a simple query to work! I’m trying to display data from a form I made in Joomla using FacileForms.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘`’ in C:\wamp\www\testdb\test1.php on line 13
Can some please spell it out for me! I saved the above script in test1.php and pull up the file in my browser. Just how wrong am I?!

Current developer is rubbish (delays, delays and more delays) They have their own custom CMS that shows my site. (php based). How easy is it to move my site to another developer and use generic CMS like Joomla etc? Appreciate your help.

I’m so confused about this. I visited the joomla site and I read this
“A major advantage of using a CMS is that it requires almost no technical skill or knowledge to manage” . What does it mean? if I’m a web designer/developer of course I have a technical skill. What joomla really is for? plzzzz help.
